Symphonic music by its very nature is about emotional outreach. The Niagara Symphony is amusic resource centre serving the Niagara Region. With particular care given to the promotion of the classical music repertoire, overall programming favours the diversity of our audience, along with a will to expand theirmusical horizons with a commitment to Canadian composers and performers. Working at the grassroots level, the Symphony alsomaintains and develops educational programs that support in-depth and hands-onmusical learning experiences. Priority is given to initiatives that actively engage participants as performers and creators of musical material, and fosters in its listeners, a close direct sharing of the musical performance experience!

Did you know?

  • that nearly 6,000 patrons attend our 12 concerts at Brock University each season
  • that 70% of expenses are artistic, performance & education related
  • that potential ticket revenue for one Masters concert covers only half the cost of the orchestra
  • that since 1965, the Niagara Symphony Summer Music Camp has stimulated and encouraged young musicians
  • that the annual cost to produce summer music camp is near $100,000 & over 250 children and young adults attend each summer; and the NSA provides for 25 full and partial bursaries for partial bursaries for campers to attend
