Karen AgesOboe

Karen Ages has played oboe and English horn with the Niagara Symphony since 1994. She has also done extensive freelance work with other orchestras, including the Windsor Symphony, Kingston Symphony, Toronto Sinfonietta, Oshawa Symphony, and Brampton Lyric Opera. In addition, she drummed with the African Drum and Dance ensemble Kekeli for many years, and was also a member of the Indonesian ensemble Gamelan Toronto. Karen works part time at WholeNote magazine, for which she writes a monthly column on World Music.
