The Niagara Symphony brings the beauty and richness of classical and contemporary music to the residents of Niagara. For 12 concerts each season, 52 musicians take to the stage at Brock University, Centre for the Arts. Each instrument, like the notes on a page, has an important role to play in bringing the orchestral score to life.
You too have an important role to play. The music you hear each performance is made possible by your presence, passion and understanding of the value music holds in our lives.
You can take an even greater role. Consider donating to the Niagara Symphony; with a donation of $50 or more you can become a member of our Orchestra Circle; with a donation of $1,000 or more you can become a member of our Music Director’s Circle. Generous donors bridge the gap (of 38%) between operating expenses, earned income and public grants. Your gift supports the continuance of a concert season, including accessible ticket prices.
The Niagara Symphony provides two education programmes servicing children in the Niagara Region: Composer in the Classroom and Summer Music Camp. The influential advantages of music education on the minds and lives of young people are well-known and many; your gift enables the continuation of these vital community programmes. (Fees cover only 80% of the operating costs).
Individual donors provide necessary funding to enable achievement of our goals: attract prominent guest artists, grow our education programmes, expand collaborations with other cultural organizations, and engage with many more exciting and challenging musical compositions.
