The Niagara Symphony is a 52-member orchestra providing a classical and contemporary musical experience to residents of the Niagara Region in Ontario, Canada. Through 12 concerts each seasons – two each of four POPS! concerts and four Masterworks concerts – and two education and outreach programmes for young people – the Niagara Symphony spreads love and joy for music to more than 6,000 people each season. A vital and vibrant member of Niagara’s cultural community, the Niagara Symphony is the Orchestra in Residence at Brock University, a strong supporter of a new Performing Arts Centre in downtown St. Catharines, and a 62-year-old cultural treasure. |

 On May 28 th, the Niagara Symphony Association was honoured to announce the appointment of its new Music Director Designate & Principal Conductor, Maestro Bradley Thachuk. Maestro Thachuk, chosen after a comprehensive, year-long audition process, was introduced to Niagara Symphony patrons and members of the media at a news conference on the stage of the Centre for the Arts at Brock University this morning. On Sunday, October 3 rd, Maestro Thachuk will return to that stage to conduct the orchestra in the opening concert of his first season, aptly titled An Opening Celebration. Maestro Thachuk is the seventh Music Director to lead the Niagara Symphony.
