The Niagara Symphony proudly announces its 2011-2012 Concert Season. Once again - for our 64^th year! - the Niagara Symphony offers a delicious selection of musical treats: stirring performances by our outstanding musicians; special guest artists; visiting conductors; and collaborations with other great ensembles. Under the direction of Music Director and Principal Conductor, Bradley Thachuk, the season includes our popular MasterWorks and POPS! Series as well as an additional Holiday POPS! performance and a bonus MasterWorks concert.
 

Highlights of the 2011-2012 MasterWorks Series include major symphonic works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Dvořák, Mozart and Brahms; concerti by Bruch and Mozart; and two premieres - the first Canadian performance of a work by Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, a Global Commissioning Consortium, and the North American debut of a work by Domenico Cimarosa. POPS! audiences will enjoy 4 themed concerts, including our ever-popular (and often sold-out!) Holiday POPS! - this year featuring Niagara’s own Chorus Niagara – as well as a warm February treat and an “explosive” end to our POPS! season! The Niagara Symphony is pleased to offer a variety of ticket options to our long time symphony patrons and those new to orchestral music. Subscription packages provide the best value and seat selection. Patrons may choose the 8-performance Music Lovers Series which includes both MasterWorks and POPS!; the 4-concert Programme Series - either MasterWorks or POPS! - or a Sampler Series combination of any 4 concerts. Single tickets are ideal for those who prefer flexibility - or to accommodate a spontaneous desire for a lovely evening of music!
